Chris Dececio - DJ / Writer / Producer - Bellatrax / Laid Blak / Redd Square

The Bellatrax project was created when Chris was asked to do a credible house remix of Ferry Corsten's "Whatever" track. A few remixes later Chris produced the first Bellatrax single "I Can't Help Myself". The track was signed by well respected Oxyd Records and licensed to labels around the world including Nervous Records USA, Blanco Y Negro Spain, Spinnin Holland. "I Can't Help Myself" was supported by Pete Tong & Judge Jules on BBC Radio 1, Kiss FM, Radio 538, Hed Kandi, Galaxy, Pulse FM New York, XM BPM, etc. It held the No.1 spot of the US Billboard Dance Airplay Chart for 3 weeks and was the 2nd most played dance record in the US in 2008. Redd Square and Insignia are Chris' 2 main trance projects to date. Chris' trance records have been played in clubs and on radio around the world by djs like Paul Van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, Armin Van Buuren etc and have been featured on compilations worldwide, as well as being 'Record Of The Week' on BBC Radio 1. The Redd Square remix of Ferry Corsten's "Whatever" was supported by all the main European trance DJs as well as having 3 months of support from Judge Jules & Dave Pearce on BBC Radio 1. Laid Blak are signed to Tricky's Brownpunk label. Chris is involved with the band as a Writer and Producer. The live set is centred in urban reggae, but touches on jazz, funk, soul, and hip-hop. The Laid Blak crew have supported Desmond Dekker, Nitin Sawhney, Julian Marley, John Legend, Luciano, and The Wailers on their recent UK tour. The crew have played at Glastonbury Festival as well doing a live performance broadcast on BBC Asian Network. Chris has been responsible for taking the production of the album to the highest possible standard, as well as providing club remixes. With spins on BBC Radio 1, BBC 1XTRA, BBC Asian Network so far, big things are set to happen with Laid Blak.
